The schedule has been set as shown in the table below. Note that the schedule is subject to change and the lectures of the topic B will be held before those of topic A this year.
Important Notice
“Advanced Modern Science and Technology” provides three types of courses:
- 4 times course
- 8 times course
- 12 times course
Students need to choose one of the courses. In the 4 times course, students take 4 lectures, in the 8 times course, 8 lectures, and in the 12 times course, 12 lectures.
The lectures are categorized into three topics (A, B, and C). In the 4 times course, the students choose one topic from A, B, and C, and attend the 4 lectures of the chosen topic. In the 8 times course, the students choose two topics from A, B, and C, and attend the 8 lectures of the chosen topics. In the 12 times course, the students attend the 12 lectures of all topics.
It is prohibited to change the registered course and the chosen topic after registration. It is not allowed to attend the lectures of the topics other than the chosen one. Note that students who register a course with eight or twelve lectures are requested to satisfy grading requirement for each topic (See the Syllabus).

FAQ
Q1. For 8 times course, is a combination of Topic A and Topic C accepted?
A1. Yes, any combinations are accepted. Note that students who register a course with eight or twelve lectures are requested to satisfy grading requirement for each topic.
Q2. I’d like to register a course with eight/twelve lectures. I don’t wish to register this course if a part of my request is accepted.
A2. Sorry, we can’t consider any specific situation like that.
Q3. I’d like to know how many students apply to each topic.
A3. Such information is NEVER open to students.
Q4. Is it possible to change selected topic after enrollment? For example, from Topic A to Topic C, etc.
A4. No.
Q5. I plan to register a course with eight lectures by taking Topic A in this year and Topic C next year.
A5. Such registration is NOT permitted. All lectures which you intend to take must be taken in the same year.
Q6. How is the grading of this course?
A6. Refer the syllabus. Note that if you register a course with eight or twelve lectures and then don’t satisfy grading requirement for only one topic, your course credit is NOT evaluated.
Q7. Can I change a course after enrollment? For example, from twelve lectures to four lectures, eight lectures to twelve lectures, and so on.
A7. No.
